Industrial designers at PADM develop innovative, electronic products
using a design process that creates a balance between the demands
for cost-effective, volume manufacturing and the requirements for
a stylish device with cutting-edge functionality. Industrial designers
utilize multiple tools to create in-depth concept models for the customer.
Drawings, illustrations, 2-D and 3-D CAD models, mock ups and detailed
hard models are used to discover solutions based on our customers'
needs. Supporting the ID processes are competitive product surveys,
user interaction models and a deep understanding of manufacturing
constraints and processes. Throughout the development process, industrial
designers work concurrently with other design disciplines to ensure
that the product and materials are optimized for manufacturing and
the supply chain. Our ID tool vendors include Alias/Wavefront, Vellum,
and Adobe.
